Sumi is built to be private. Your tattoo ideas are personal, so the app does the work on your device and keeps your data with you.
Nothing personal. Sumi does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not track you across apps or websites.
The kanji you type and the photos you choose are processed entirely on your device — text analysis uses Apple's on-device intelligence and image reading uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Your input and photos are not uploaded to us or to any third-party server. They are not stored after your check unless you choose to export or share a result yourself.
In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Sumi never sees your payment details. Apple processes the transaction under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Sumi does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregate App Store statistics that cannot identify you.
Sumi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
